The Controller provides accounting support to the entire Company including accounting analysis, and accounting reporting. Responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements and tax reporting, maintaining cash controls, managing payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and the accounting systems and supporting resources.
Compensation: Salary range $90k to $130k to commensurate with experience in addition to a lucrative benefit package and profit sharing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Administer and monitor the financial system in order to ensure that finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee the reconciliation of the general ledger and Journal Entries, and the generation of the Financial Statements and Financial reports and analysis.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems, including collections.
- Oversee the payroll system, including generation, approval, maintenance, and PTO.
- Manage Certified Payroll calculations and reporting.
- Monitor cash reserves, deposits, credit cards transactions, and bank statement reconciliation.
- Implement financial policies and procedures
- Oversee the financial process of all performance contracts.
- Oversee the filing of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports.
- Assist with the annual audit.
- Oversee the generation of all sales commissions for all departments.
- Establish and maintain customer accounts.
- Manage the filing, storage and security of documents.
- Assist with preparation of the budget.
- Respond to inquiries.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as required.
MEASUREMENT
- 100% accuracy and execution of financial statements and financial reports within two days after month-end.
- 100% accuracy of payroll taxes and general business taxes
- Payroll accurate and completed on time.
- Complete audits successfully.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in related field and 5 - 10 years of accounting experience, or equivalent applicable work experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Experience with Oracle Net Suite preferred.
- Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn and support new financial systems and applications.
